Watering
It was so wet over the weekend and into the start of the week that I didn’t bother wathering yesterday. Today, however, it was supposed to be sunny and warm with little to no chance of rain. Consequently, when I got up this morning I gave the yard a drink–20 minutes per side. I also did some weed pulling. Every little bit counts.
Mowing
Finally got the mowing done between rain storms. Phew! That was a beast of a chore. I also got some weeds pulled in front. Nowhere near all of them but every little bit counts. We still have some bald spots and while I have nothing against baldies (being one myself) it would be nice if I could figure out how to get some grass growing on those spots. Ug.
Watering
Did the morning watering. It’s supposed to be cooler today and it might even rain a bit. I’m hoping to be able to mow this evening.

Was out early this morning and took care of the watering–20 minutes per side. There are still lots of plugs not worked back in to the soil from the aeration. The yard needs a mow badly but I don’t want to lose the plugs so I’m putting it off as long as I can. Probably sometime before Friday though.

It’s supposed to be warm today (mid 80s) so I decided to do a bit longer than normal watering–30 per side. I’m thinking I’m going to see about some products to get the parts of the yard that aren’t currently growing up and running. We’ll see if that gels. I also need to mow but I think I’m going to wait for this evening.

Dana needs to leave early again this morning so watering is again 15 minutes per part. I had heard there was a chance of rain over night but there was no sign of any moisture this morning. Oh well.

It’s supposed to be a touch cooler than yesterday but still sunny and warm. Did the morning watering as soon as I woke up. Because Dana needs to leave earlier than normal I compressed the timing of the watering to 15 minutes per part.

It’s supposed to be in the mid 80s today. When I woke up I didn’t find any signs of overnight rain. I immediately put out the sprinkler for the usual morning watering. 20 minutes per section.
