I did the final watering of the night. Just before starting I took some photos. I also got some photos we took the other day of another yard we like up on the site. We’re not certain but we think we might have seen some sprouting. Perhaps by tomorrow night we’ll see something more concrete.

Any work done on the yard
Watering
Dana came home midday to run the sprinklers again. It was in the mid 80s today. Hopefully this is working.
Watering
Dana took care of the early morning watering so I could get to the office a touch sooner. As always, she watered both sides. Still waiting for a sign of new growth.
Watering
I was late leaving the office so Dana got the sprinklers going. By the time I got home she was just finishing. Still no sprouts. Starting to worry a bit but trying to be patient. We’ll see what happens.
Watering
Dana stopped home midday today to run the sprinklers. Today has been a warm, dry, and sunny day so the yard will need it.
Watering
Up for work at 5:30 I went out to start the sprinkler. It is supposed to be near 90 degrees again today. There is some chance of rain but I’m not banking on it. Still no sprouts visible but the old grass is looking better than ever with the new soil and all this watering. Also, it appears greener. (That could, of course, just as likely be a visual result of green against black. After all, the reason the grass is always greener on the neighbors lawn is you are looking at it from your lawn which means you are seeing the sides of the blades of grass and there is greater surface area for the light to reflect off the blade. If you look down on your own grass from above, you’d see the top and not the side of a blade–less transmission and therefore less green reflecting.)
Watering
The sun hasn’t quite set yet. Dana got the sprinkler started while I got dinner started. Corn & dogs on the grill and water on the lawn. Still Nothing sprouting, though.
Watering
Dana came home from visiting with Kim and immediately got the sprinklers out to the front of the house. We’ve managed to stay ahead of the heat today and the ground has remained moist. We have some concern still that we might be overwatering. Guess if nothing grows that will answer the question of whether it is possible to overwater a lawn in this dry climate of ours.
Watering
Again it was up before seven for me. I went out to start the sprinklers and decided to try one in front and one in the back at the same time. While we’re not giving much of an attempt to making the backyard grass grow this season we do have some potted plants that we are about ready to put in the ground and they need water too. To my extreme dissapointment the pressure dropped so low on both front and back that neither was useful. There is definately something wrong with the outdoor water faucets. Looks like it is time to have the plumber come to the house again. It is supposed to be near 90 degrees today so watering is going to be especially important today. As always, I did the watering in the front on both sides.
Watering
Dana is babysitting tonight and I went to dinner with my friend April. We came home to grab some knitting to go to a coffee shop and I took advantage of the downtime to do one last watering for the day. Once again, did 15 minutes on each section of lawn. Still a bit concerned that the sprinkler isn’t working as well as it should but at least it works well enough to get water to the lawn.
