Dana came home midday and ran the sprinkler. We’re thinking about mowing tomorrow.
Month: June 2008
Watering
When I woke up this morning I went out to water and the ground was wet and the beds a bit muddy. Consequently I decided to skip it this morning.
Watering
Just after Dana and I finished emptying out our basement storage room (in prep for turning it into something more of a workout room) Dana put out the sprinklers. There are lots of photos of all the days work and success. Check them out.
Rocking and mulching
Dana and I got the mulch in place and laid out the stepping stones. We also placed the stones around the plants along the front of our house. A big improvement all around.
Home Depot run
After a quick lunch break, I went to Walgreens, Sam’s Club and the Sam’s gas station. I was going to meet Dana at Home Depot but she wasn’t quite ready to roll. I headed home and picked up Dana. She wanted to go to Home Depot to look at stones, outdoor and indoor carpeting, and planters. We ended up picking up 8 bags of small river stones, 8 stepping stones, and an outdoor carpet for the back porch. We headed home and got it all unloaded.
Picking up the mulch
I ran off to Arapahoe Acres to pick up the remaining mulch. I managed to cram 21 bags of mulch in the car and a 22nd on the roof and got it home. While I was gone Dana continued to work on the north edge of the yard and got the patch cut down to the sidewalk and put a border in.
Prepping for mulch
Dana and I got out there before the major heat hit and got the weed barrier in place and cut. I then headed for the Arapahoe Acres Garden Center while Dana continued to work on the yard. The mulch project is nearly complete!
Watering
I went out when I woke up (no alarm) and watered. It’s supposed to be in the high 80’s low 90’s today. Good day to work in the basement but we do want to finish our border project and lay down the mulch (which I’ll go pick up in a bit). I did have a chance to get the photos uploaded so check out the photo page.
